Training

We all learn photography in our different ways and no one way is the right way. So here are some of the resources we have used to help us;

Tangents - Neil van Niekerk

Neil was our lightbulb moment when it came to throwing away the plastic we used on our flashguns. Learning how to bounce flash is a key skill every photographer should know. The Tangents blog is a series of unconnected articles on photography, loaded with tutorials and other articles. Currently there is a labyrinth of over 900 articles! You must visit this website!

1-2-1 Training with NeumannGraham Photographers

Some of the most common emails we receive are;

  • Should I shoot in jpeg or RAW?
  • How do I expose properly?
  • What is Auto-ISO?
  • How do I use my new camera?
  • Why is everything dark?
  • Why is it out of focus?
  • How do I use my flash?
  • What is sync speed?
  • How do I make my images stand out?
  • What is the Rule of Thirds?

These are all perfectly normal questions and very similar to the ones we asked ourselves all those years ago. Whilst we do try to help online sometimes it is better in person. This is why we provide a 1-2-1 service where we can meet up and discuss any of your issues and try and get your photography moving forwards.

If you think you deserve a little 1-2-1 training then please get in touch, we would love to hear from you. By the end of our time together you will have a few images you can be proud of and use to develop your portfolio.
