A family visit at Christmas turned into an impromptu studio session. A huge thanks to our lovely model (Sister) for posing in our lounge x
Portrait: Max
At the end of a newborn session yesterday Max kindly offered to pose for a quick portrait. Our aim here was to practice a very fast setup to achieve Rembrandt lighting. The inspiration for this image came from Glyn Dewis. This technique enables us to offer something a little different from the traditional portrait. We hope you like it...
Keeping up with demand...
On occasion we have stressed over having two image editors but only one computer. That problem is now history. We have just welcomed a lovely new member to our photography family. Christmas has just come early :)
Teaser: Wedding Ceremony: Julie & Mike
No plan survives contact with reality. We had found a lovely part of the church to photograph. The problem was that the church official had the keys in her hand and was locking up in five minutes. Only a little bit of pressure then...
Family Portrait
A lovely afternoon getting to know Harry, Lewis and Callum.
London Fashion Weekend 2015
A fun day out (with the camera of course) at a catwalk show in London's Kings Road at the Saatchi Gallery previewing the Autumn/Winter 2015 trends.
The must wear are shades of Marsala and paprika and interesting elements of punk and goth as well as a 70's theme. Not all at once!
Interesting day seeing the professional models at work and how all the styling comes together to make great photos. Hair, make up and styling, always an important part of any photo shoot.
Engagement: Julie & Mike
A lovely morning with Julie & Mike.
We were originally planning for the afternoon but the weather forecasts were not looking too good. So after a quick check with the couple and we changed it to the morning. This proved a very smart move since the heavens opened up not long after we had finished.
Whilst we will always try to avoid the midday sun, this session was a good example of how flexible we can be and how much we love a challenge against harsh sunlight.
Engagement: Jem & Steven
A lovely afternoon with Jem & Steven
We managed to find a lovely location close to the couple. Whilst we didn't have as much time as we wanted, due to the place closing, we did have a plan B and managed to get all the images we wanted.
Dismaland by night
Last night we visited Banksy's Dismaland in Weston-Super-Mare for the second time, this time at night to take some photos of the greatly illuminated art work against the stunning seaside sunset. Amazing place and great creativity for inspiration.
Julie & Mike
On Saturday we met with the lovely Julie & Mike prior to their September wedding. We spend some time getting to know them better and going through their big day's events and planning. We took Julie & Mike for a photo shoot locally to the couple to make them feel more comfortable in front of the camera and to give some posing tips. This is great practice for the wedding day and helps getting to know all those important valuable little details. It was a lovely and very hot day. We are looking forward to the wedding day!
