Frequently Asked Questions

Q. I have no idea what to expect. Do we get to meet before the session?

A. Absolutely we can. We can either meet in person, chat over the phone or use the internet magic and FaceTime (Skype) each other. We will do all we can to let you know what is going to happen, how it is going to happen and what you are going to get at the end of it all. Our aim is to make sure you enjoy the experience and get exactly what you want out of it.

Q. Can we have the RAW files after?

A. Whilst we do understand why this is asked we will always say no. This will be like an artist giving you their painting before it is finished. The RAW files are just one of the tools we use to create the image that we deliver to you.

Q. Who owns the copyright to the image?

A. NeumannGraham Photographers retain the copyright to all their images. The images you receive will be licensed to you for the period agreed in the contract. For non-commercial images this will generally be an open licence, unless otherwise stated. This licence can be revoked if we decide that they are being used outside the terms of the agreement.

Q. Can you recreate this amazing image I saw in a magazine on my wedding day?

A. We have the skills and equipment to create a large amount of different photography styles. The one thing we normally don't have on a wedding day is time. Whilst we will always try and give you what you want we kindly ask you to be mindful of the time that will be available on your big day. If needed we can always arrange for a separate session (before or after) but this is likely to incur further costs.

Q. What happens if it rains on our big day?

A. This is not a problem. Skin is waterproof and we absolutely love a challenge. The rain can present some lovely photo oportunities that may help your images to stand out from the others. So our advice would be to just focus on enjoying your day and be prepared for us to ask you to splash around a little :)

Q. Why didn't you get a close-up picture of us at the altar?

A. On occasion we do come across wedding officials who insist we remain at the back of the service. Out of respect to everyone involved we will always obey the instructions (rules) given on the day. Our advice would be to speak to the relevant people before your big day and explain how important the photography is to you both and what it would mean to get these personal pictures.

Q. Will I be safe during the session?

A. We treat the health, safety and wellbeing of all those who work with us very seriously. Our team consists of one NEBOSH qualified safety professional and one NEBOSH student (training in progress). All of our activities are risk assessed prior to any work commencing. We would always be happy to present a documented risk assessment to any client on request.

Q. When we receive the images do you mind if we crop them, apply jazzy filters and publish them?

A. We spend hours preparing for the photoshoot, work extremely hard during it and then burn the candles during the post-processing phase. So can you imagine our looks when we see them on social media with some snazzy filters? Whilst we would never want to be photographer snobs we would kindly ask that you respect what we do and leave them the way they were delivered x
